Chelsea star tempted by PSG move

Brazilian centre-back David Luiz could be tempted to swap Chelsea for Paris Saint-Germain in the transfer window after being talked into a move by some of his Confederations Cup teammates during this summer's tournament.

Reports in France suggest, Thiago Silva and Lucas Moura - twelve months on from their multi-million pound recruitments by PSG - have discussed the Parisian project with the defender several times whilst competing for the Brazil national team.

Luis Felipe Scolari's side have been training together since before their friendly against England at the Maracana Stadium on June 2 and, tomorrow, take on world champions Spain in the final of the eight-team event at the aforementioned ground.

Silva, Luiz's defensive partner who captains both Brazil and PSG, is thought to have confirmed the Parc des Princes as a perfect base for the 26-year-old - amid reports that he is not very highly regarded by new Blues boss Jose Mourinho.

The Brazil squad, which contains four La Liga players including Marcelo of Real Madrid, could also have shared their mixed views on Mourinho.

Meanwhile, Luiz representatives reportedly met PSG's director of football Leonardo - another fellow Selecao favourite - to discuss potential terms before arriving in Brazil for the major competition.

PSG are yet to formally submit a bid for the Blues star but it is believed to be only a matter of time until incoming manager Laurent Blanc agrees to meet the £40million asking price.

The Ligue 1 holders, whose title-winning coach Carlo Ancelotti departed for Real Madrid last week, are particularly keen on a defender to replace Alex.
