Turkey U20s faced the humiliation of a surprise defeat to Australia on home soil on Friday before turning the game around with two stunning goals.

The Socceroos edged ahead just after the restart with a goal through Jamie MacLaren, but Hakan Calhanoglu equalised with an arrowed strike into the far corner from 25 yards just minutes later.

With victory guaranteeing top spot and qualification for the knock-out round, the Turkey team, cheered on by their passionate home support, pushed for a winner.

And with three minutes to play they cracked the stubborn Aussie defence – although it required a moment of Cantona-esque genius from Okay Yokuslu.

The 19-year-old Kayserispor midfielder is one of the most expensive teenagers in Turkish football history following his €1m move from Altay two years ago.

And he proved to be the difference with a delightful chipped finish from 20 yards lobbing the keeper and giving the Turkish side the 2-1 win.

Check out both wonder-goals from the match in the videos below – and credit to for getting the clips up...

First up it's Çalhanoğlu's goal...

And here's the fantastic chipped winner...
