Four players sent off after mass brawl in Mexican friendly

An exhibition match in Las Vegas between Mexican sides Chivas and America descended into chaos on Wednesday evening, after a mass brawl at the end of the first-half saw four players sent off.

Red cards were handed to two players from each side after a fairly innocuous looking challenge prompted an angry exchange of words between opponents, before members of both teams started to wade in.

With plenty of pushing and shoving, and arms flailing everywhere, the referee did well to keep track of which player was guilty of penalising who, and successfully calmed the heated situation after the 60-second fracas.

The hostile feeling between the two clubs also extended to the fans in the stands, with riots before and after the game - this pre-season fixture appeared to be anything but 'friendly'.
