On August 3 the most unpredictable league in the world will kick-off for another exciting season.
Last year there was only a 25 point difference between relegation and promotion - this makes the Championship an almost impossible league to predict.
Relegated Premier League side QPR will start as favourites, and have already started strengthening their squad for a tiring season.
The London club have recently had success in the Championship, winning it in the 2010/11 season. This should help them next season and with an experienced manager don't be surprised to see them do well.
The other two relegated clubs Wigan and Reading will also have a good chance of promotion. Reading will be hoping to achieve what they did two seasons ago and regain the title. They still have many of that Championship winning squad and will have a great chance especially will some good signings. Wigan have had a long stay in the Premier League and will lose many of their key players from last season. The FA Cup holders will also have a congested fixture list with Europa League football at the DW Stadium. I think fatigue and lack of Championship experience means there is little chance of Wigan returning to the top flight straight away.
Watford narrowly missed out on promotion last season with a play-off final defeat to Crystal Palace. Unfortunately for them many of their star players from last season were on loan and have returned to their clubs. Promotion this season will be a lot harder but they may surprise a few as they did last season.
Leicester, who also missed out in the play-offs, will have a good chance next season. They have a strong side, and have been unlucky in recent years - could the 2013/14 season be the year of the Foxes?
I do not expect Brighton to be as much as a threat as last season after sacking Gus Poyet but I wouldn't be surprised to see Nottingham Forest and Bolton challenging once again.
The 2013/14 Championship season promises to be another exciting one and will prove once again why it is the fifth most watched league in the world.
