This Premier League campaign is going to be, without any doubt, one of the best we will have seen.
It could be extremely unpredictable, with new players pouring into nearly every team. All of the top five: Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are nearly equal contenders of this season's title.
The Premier League champions will find it exceedingly difficult to defend their title this season. With Sir Alex Ferguson having retired, the club's new manager David Moyes will have to work under lots of pressure to live up to his predecessor's achievements.
Defending the title will be anything but easy; Jose Mourinho's Chelsea and Manuel Pellegrini's Man City might prove to be mighty rivals this season.
A few good signings could improve the team a lot. Moyes has quite a lot on his plate this season but his side will definitely prove to be one of the mighty contenders.
Since the last two years, Manchester City have developed themselves very well and defined themselves as a growing power which can challenge United and Chelsea well. With a tremendous season in 2011-12, the Citizens have shown that they can be a great threat to every team.
This season, with their new manager Manuel Pellegrini and a couple of signings, essentially Jesus Navas, Man City can end up surprising.
They have already proved to be "Noisy Neighbours" for United - and this season they'll pose a threat to each of the top five.
Generally being referred to as the chokers, Arsenal look as if they mean serious business this season. With an amazing pre-season start and mighty transfer targets, it seems that Wenger is sick of the trophy drought. This attitude might prove to be beneficial to the club as well as Wenger.
Although many people might believe that the Gunners lack conviction, they have a good chance of winning the league even if they are half as serious as they seem. With Higuain coming in, the Gunners will get that one goal poacher that they desperately need. They could do wonders if they play consistently like they once used to.
Jose Mourinho, the Special One, is back. The fact that he is managing Chelsea once more should be enough to show that the Blues are serious contenders of the league title as well as the Champions League.
Besides, Juan Mata, Oscar and Eden Hazard all had amazing seasons last term and will be deadly this year. I think it's safe to say that Chelsea are the favourites for the title but will still face stiff competition.
Spurs have surely been the most unlucky of the top five - missing out on a Champions League spot by the thinnest of margins in recent seasons. But one cannot rule them out. Gareth Bale has been an amazing asset for the club, leading them almost single-handedly to where they are now.
Spurs have done a great job persuading Bale to stay. He is definitely one of the best in the world. A few decent signings with Bale could make the Lilywhites a serious threat.
