Lille full-back Lucas Digne is closing in on a £12m move to Paris St Germain despite interest from Liverpool, according to talkSPORT.

The France under-20 international has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs, but he looks set to stay in France after Lille and PSG agreed terms.

The report claims he's set for a medical with the reigning Ligue 1 champions this week.

The 19-year-old is highly-rated in France, and has already made more than 40 league appearances for his club.

The left-back had been linked with Liverpool as a long-term replacement for Jose Enrique. He may have even challenged the Spaniard sooner had he moved to Anfield.

The report claims Liverpool were ready to make their first official move for the full-back, but it seems PSG are all but set to complete the deal for a fee believed to be £12m.

The news comes shortly after the big-spending French club announced the £55m capture of Napoli star Edinson Cavani.

The Uruguayan international was another strongly linked with a Premier League switch, but Cavani will now link up with new PSG boss Laurent Blanc in the French capital next season.
