Three crucial potential Premier League transfers (1)

It really feels like the transfer market has got into the gear for Premier League teams this week, with a number of stories breaking concerning some big names and big teams.

Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea have all been in the headlines this week in what seems like a serious battle for players.

It is hard to know why so many big stars have been linked with moves and why transfer sagas have been dragging on without any clear conclusion in sight.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger spoke this week during their pre-season tour and give a hint as to why there appeared to be so much scrambling for players between clubs.

“We work well but we are not close to sign anybody,” was the Frenchman’s familiar quip when asked about transfer plans.

“The competition in Europe is very hard at the moment. There's a lot of money and not many players."

That suggests Arsenal know they will have to fight off a few other clubs if they want to spend the reportedly massive transfer kitty.

GMS have picked out three players that could spark some big transfer deals in the next few weeks, which could have some big repercussions for the Premier League.

With so many teams chasing these three, any of them being signed will mean gaining an advantage over their rivals, while also scuppering their pre-season plans.
