Manchester United winger Nani is ready to talk with AS Monaco about leaving Old Trafford this summer.

According to the Express, the Portugal international has been heading for the exit door at Manchester United for some time and big-spending Monaco head the queue to snap him up.

The report claims former manager Sir Alex Ferguson lost faith in Nani and was ready to let him leave when a new contract couldn’t be agreed.

Ferguson’s successor, David Moyes, was reportedly ready to give the 26-year-old another chance to shine, but this latest story would suggest it was a chance not taken.

Manchester United are ready to part ways with Nani and it claims they will be willing to accept an offer in the region of £8.5million.

However, he is reportedly demanding £6million a season from any potential new club, which could make finding a new club quite difficult.

The report claims he has also been tracked by Anzhi Makhachkala, as well as Monaco, so the wages on offer are unlikely to be paltry.
