Notts County boss Chris Kiwomya has confirmed his interest in Mark Fotheringham and Dean Parrett, two of the trialists awaiting news on their futures at Meadow Lane.
Starting his career in the youth ranks of Celtic, Fotheringham made three appearances for the Bhoys - the youngest footballer to play in Celtic's first team at the time.
He then moved to Dundee F.C and racked up 51 appearances, scoring four goals during his two years at Dens Park.
After a year with FC Freiburg, Fotheringham spent half a season in the Swiss Super League before signing for Norwich City where he found some relative stability.
However, following his departure from Carrow Road in 2009, the player has struggled to settle with any one club, drifting between four teams in three different countries in a difficult four years for the midfielder.
Kiwomya however, seems to have identified something in Fotheringham that other managers have failed to recognise.
Kiwomya said to the Nottingham Post: "He's my kind of player, he's got a little bit of everything.
"He's come on trial and he's been really good in training and he's done well in the pre-season games as well, over in Finland and the other night.
"They [Galatasaray] were hard to handle in midfield because they had three players in there, but I thought he worked hard and the crowd appreciated his performance."
Kiwomya also confirmed his interest in acquiring the services of Dean Parrett.
"I've known Dean from his Tottenham days and he's a good player.
"We're seeing if we can accommodate him in the squad somewhere.
"I've got to look at my budget and make sure we're not bringing in players just to fill gaps, but Dean's a good technical player, it's just whether he can fit into our play."
