2. Gareth Bale
Gareth Bale has become something of a sensation in the Premier League over recent years, but actively snubbed the England team in favour of his Welsh homeland.
Last season, the left midfielder landed the PFA Players' Player of the Year, the PFA Young Player of the Year and the FWA Player of the Year Award, becoming only the second player to do so - the other being Cristiano Ronaldo in 2007.
However, the 24-year-old turned down the opportunity of big tournaments and made his Wales debut in May 2006, before admitting to The Daily Mail earlier this year: "Playing for England did not enter my head. I had no interest in doing that, it never appealed to me."
