Ribery swaps mascot due to lack of height

Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery had to swap his mascot during former teammate Mark van Bommel's testimonial - because he is too short.

Ribery - who stands at 5ft7in - felt inadequate standing next to a kid who was somewhat taller than him.

While Ribery was explaining to his teammate about swapping mascots - the Frenchman's club teammate Thomas Muller was seen laughing at the situation.

Ribery was ruled out of Bayern Munich's recent 4-2 German Super Cup loss against Bundesliga rivals Dortmund at the weekend due to a reported 'minor knock', however he may just have been too embarrassed to return to action.

You can watch the hilarious footage above.
