Manchester United have offered Portuguese winger Nani to Ligue 1 title hopefuls Monaco, according to the French club's sporting director Vadim Vasilyev.
Nani, 26, who arrived at Old Trafford from Sporting Lisbon in 2007, was deemed to be largely surplus to requirements during Sir Alex Ferguson's last season in charge and it is not yet clear whether he features prominently in David Moyes' plans, particularly with his current contract set to expire after next season.
A move to Monaco is a realistic possibility and the club certainly have not been shy in flexing their considerable financial muscle so far this summer.
Coveted Colombian striker Falcao has already been signed for a fee believed to be in the region of £51million, while Porto duo Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez will also play under Claudio Ranieri this season after arriving at Stade Louis II in a deal believed to be worth £60million.
"He (Nani) has been proposed to us," Vasilyev told French newspaper L'Equipe. "He is a very good player, but there have been no talks so far.
"We have already changed our group quite a bit and we also want to offer opportunities to our young players.
"We still have time to make a few alterations before the end of the transfer window, if needed."
Nani's absence from United's recent pre-season tour of Asia was reportedly due to a troublesome nose injury.
