Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has said the La Liga giants are hoping to find a 'solution' in their chase for Gareth Bale.

The Tottenham star has been subject of a record-breaking £85million bid by Real Madrid - who have made Bale their top summer target.

It is not yet known if Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will accept the offer or negotiate for a higher fee.

Out of respect to the north London side,  Ancelotti has refused to openly discuss Bale's proposed move to the Bernabeu.

Speaking at Real Madrid's pre-season tour of America, Ancelotti told reporters: "It's difficult to talk about Bale because he doesn't play for Real Madrid. "We'll see what happens; I'm happy with the current squad.

"I have not spoken to Bale. Usually I do not speak to players from other teams.

"The club are looking for a solution in the case of Bale, though there are no new developments with regards to this."

Unlike Ancelotti, Real Madrid stars Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos have spoken out about Bale's transfer situation - with both players publicly backing a move for the 24-year-old.

Bale reported for pre-season training at Tottenham's training ground on Wednesday morning, however speculation regarding his possible move to Spain continues to highten.
