Leeds manager Brian McDermott has rubbished reports that he is preparing to offload striker El Hadji Diouf.
According to some areas of the media the controversial striker, who has been involved in a number of negative incidents during his career, was going to be sold to ease the financial strain at Elland Road.
Last week, the Daily Mail reported that Diouf could be on his way out, as McDermott has been told by the board that he needs to slash the wage bill if he is to add to his current squad.
The Senegalese international is thought to be one of the highest earners at Elland Road.
According to the Leeds F.C official club website though, Diouf will remain at the club for at least another season.
"Whatever suggestions there are about him didn't come from me," McDermott said.
"All I know is he's got to get himself training and get fit.
"He hasn't trained yet. He got himself injured then got a nasty infection, but he's desperate to get back."
Diouf has attracted the interest of Championship rivals QPR, as well as being on the radar of clubs in Qatar.
