Manchester United striker Robin van Persie is officially the Premier League's most popular player, after the Dutchman sold more shirts around the world than any other star from England's top-flight last season.
The 30-year-old capped an impressive debut campaign at Old Trafford following his £24million move from Arsenal last summer, by winning the Golden Boot after scoring 26 league goals, en route to helping Manchester United win the Premier League title.
Van Persie's fine form has raised his personal profile considerably, meaning he was responsible for more than 25 per cent of Premier League shirt sales in 2012/13.
"Robin van Persie is a world class footballer and his stunning performance has seen him become one of the most popular players in the Premier League," kitbag.com chief executive Andy Anson told the Daily Mail.
"Following his summer move to Manchester United, it's no surprise that British football fans are happy to show their support by customising replica shirts with his name and number."
And, with the Holland international determined to build on last year's trophy success with Manchester United, don't be surprised to see him firing at the top of the charts again next year.
