New Chelsea signing Cristian Cuevas will join Vitesse Arnhem on a season-long loan subject to a work permit. The 18-year-old signed for Chelsea last month from Chile, but has been immediately loaned out to the Dutch club to gain first-team experience.

Chuba Akpom has admitted it was a dream come true to score on his Arsenal debut on the club's preseason tour of Asia. The 17-year-old found the net just 54 minutes into his first senior match, and followed that up with another three goals on a successful first Arsenal tour for the teenager.

Cardiff are set to make their first bid for Tottenham midfielder Tom Huddlestone, according to reports. Former-Spurs defender Steven Caulker recently made the switch to south Wales, and the newly promoted club want Huddlestone to follow him to the Cardiff City Stadium.

Nemanja Vidic has declared himself fit and ready to go for the new Premier League season. The Serbian international came through 90 minutes against Swedish side AIK, and Vidic hopes to feature in Manchester United's two remaining matches against Sevilla and Wigan before the start of the new campaign.

Dedryck Boyata says he is ready to step up for Manchester City after the departure of Kolo Toure and the injury suffered by Matija Nastasic. Boyata is hoping to seize his second chance at the Etihad Stadium, and says he's got the backing of new boss Manuel Pellegrini.

Real Madrid and Barcelona could soon be forced to give up their status as member-owned clubs by the European Commission. Their current status provides tax advantages, but an investigation by the competition office is looking into allegations of illegal state aid against the two Spanish giants.
