Rio Ferdinand concludes his countdown of his most memorable Manchester United moments with his late winner against Swansea in Sir Alex Ferguson's final match at Old Trafford last season.

Ferdinand's first goal for five years ensured Ferguson got the send-off he deserved in his 723rd game at the home of the Premier League champions.

Having wrapped up the title against Aston Villa, United went into the fixture in a celebratory mood - keen to honour their longest serving and most successful manager.

The game itself was secondary, with United fans, players and staff eager to listen to Ferguson's final farewell speech, to watch the Premier League trophy presentation, and to show their thanks for 26 memorable years of football at the highest level.

Ferdinand started the match alongside Nemanja Vidic - his defensive partner for so much of United's recent success under the Scot.

It was also to be Paul Scholes's final home match in a Manchester United shirt, although as expected the great midfielder preferred to keep his retirement a little more low-key.

He started alongside Michael Carrick in the middle of the park, with Javier Hernandez and Premier League Golden Boot winner Robin Van Persie up top.

And it was the Mexican international who got the ball rolling, finding the net with a typically well-taken finish five minutes before half-time.

Michu threatened to spoil the party though, equalising just after the interval before Ferdinand popped up with the winner - and fitting it was that Ferguson's final game at Old Trafford was settled by a late strike for the Red Devils.

The United centre-back rattled home a powerful finish at the back post to provide the perfect conclusion to one of the most memorable days in the club's illustrious history.

It was perhaps a surprise to see Ferdinand arrive right on time to smash home the winner, considering the likes of Van Persie, Giggs and Shinji Kagawa were all still on the pitch.

But it sums up Manchester United's success under Ferguson - a 26-year thrill ride, characterised by stunning comebacks, late drama, unlikely scorers and of course, "Fergie Time".

It was the perfect finale - Ferdinand bagging the final goal under Ferguson at Old Trafford as the club celebrated it's 20th Premier League title.

That's it! We've reached the end of Rio's memorable moments - thanks for counting down with us alongside his official Facebook page and enjoy the testimonial tonight!
