Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has told want-away striker Luis Suarez to apologise to the coaching staff and all the players at the club before he is allowed to rejoin the first-team during training sessions.
The Uruguayan striker has been told to train alone for the foreseeable future because Rodgers doesn't want him affecting team morale and having any contact with the first-team players just in case he brings a sense of negativity to the camp.
Suarez has been very open about his future and has admitted on numerous occasions that he doesn't want to stay at Anfield, but since those comments, the Liverpool owner and the manager has reiterated their desire to keep the 26-year-old at the club.
Talking after his side's 1-0 pre-season defeat to Celtic, Rodgers opened up about the Suarez saga and admitted that if there is an apology from the striker, he will be welcomed back into the team and into the training sessions.
The Liverpool boss told reporters: "Initially there will be an apology to his team-mates and the club, then a recognition that he is ready to fight for the club.
"I know that we are not seeing the Luis Suarez I know. He has spent some days working on his own. When he comes back from Uruguay we will see how it goes further.
"We are all on the same page. He won't be going to Arsenal, that's for sure. When Luis is committed to the cause, we will welcome him back with open arms.
"I was made aware at the end of last season that a number of clubs would come in. The reality is that one have done."
