Manchester United's club captain and defensive rock Nemanja Vidic is currently entering the final 12 months of his contract but remains calm over the situation.
There has been no mention of him getting a new contract but the Serbian is not concerned about that.
The 31-year-old defender who is by far Manchester United's best defender has endured a terrible time with injuries in the last two seasons but says he feels okay now.
Manchester United has struggled defensively when he is not playing and the Serbian is now ready to put his injury problems behind him and contribute heavily in the defence of his side's Premier League title.
However, despite his contract running down Vidic remains focused on just playing regularly.
He said: "I had a few injuries especially the knee injury. I never like to make big promises but I believe I am fit.
"I am quite sure of how fit I am. I feel really good. Now it is all behind me, one and a half years after my operation and I'm ready to go."
The Serbian turns 32 in October and has not yet been offered a new contract despite entering the final 12 months of his current deal.
The 31-year-old remains unfazed by the lack of discussion. He stated: "I'm not expecting anything, I'm just trying to perform as best as I can and along the way we will see where I am and what the plans are. I'm not worried."
Vidic has been linked with an Old Trafford exit in the past but he is still at Manchester United.
He is still their best defender and it shows when he is playing as there is more calm and assurance in defence.
There is no doubt that if he stays healthy then a new offer will be on the table for one of the best defenders in the world.
