GMS Academy member Muneeb Ahsan picks his three signings of the summer so far. Do you agree?
1. David Villa -- Atletico Madrid
Atletico needed a replacement for Falcao who was sold to AS Monaco and they got the Spain all time record scorer who needs no introduction.
Recently he completed his bargain of the year move to Atletico Madrid for 5.1 million euros. He was heavily linked with Tottenham before his unexpected move to Atletico.
It is obvious that Villa has many years left in football, so many teams around the world will be disappointed to miss out on the Spaniard.
2. Nicolas Anelka-- West Brom
Anelka moved to West Brom on a free bargain of the year transfer. Yes people, West Brom is Anelka's 12th club maybe also his last.
The 34 year old French striker has played for almost every good club. During all his transfers he has built an aggregate transfer cost of just under £90 million. So far he has scored seven goals of seven games he has played for West Brom.
It will be interesting to see how Anelka gears up in the Premier League as he will be the first choice forward. Anelka is a Premier League favourite, a crowd pleaser and an amazingly skilled player.
3. Kolo Toure -- Liverpool
The Toure brothers have played some biggest clubs of the world. Kolo was exactly what Liverpool needed a experienced centre back to fill in the gap left byJamie Carragher. The 32 year old is a amazing replacement and a very good signing.
He has a couple of years left in him and will be crucial for Liverpool to finish in the top four.
