Dider Drogba embarrassing miss from three yards

Galatasaray striker and Chelsea legend Didier Drogba showed in the Emirates Cup he still has what it takes to damage defences, but it was his pride that suffered the greatest damage on Monday night.

The man that almost single-handedly took the Champions League trophy to Stamford Bridge for the first time in Chelsea’s history is usually deadly when presented with scoring opportunities.

However, Galatasaray’s 2-1 win over Gaziantepspor saw Drogba suffer the kind of embarrassment more associated with lesser strikers.

The ball was swung in from the left hand side and the Ivory Coast striker was lurking at the far post when the ball went through the box and bounced up nicely for him.

Uncharacteristically, Drogba gets himself all in a muddle and can only manage to knee the ball high over the bar from about three yards out.

His look after the miss says it all….he was really embarrassed.
