Alfonso Ramos has been crowned the FIFA Champions Trophy winner after a 3-1 win over arch-rival Bruce Grannec in the final at Gamescom in Cologne.

The Spaniard managed to turn the tables on last year's winner, having lost the final in Vancouver 12 months ago on FIFA 13.

It was a different story on the new game in EA's business lounge in Cologne, and the winner will now look to transfer his success across to the FIWC after missing out on that trophy in Madrid a couple of months back.

After a relatively cagey opening, it was Ramos who took the lead with his Real Madrid side, and unsurprisingly it was Cristiano Ronaldo who made the breakthrough.

The Portuguese forward is one of the main reasons why these players pick Los Blancos, and he showed great strength in the air to head past Iker Casillas and open the scoring.

It was 2-0 on the stroke of half-time, and that man Ronaldo did the trick again, with Ramos managing to evade a couple of defenders and fire into the bottom corner from distance.

'The Machine' was under pressure, and struggling to gain possession against the former two-time FIWC champion.

A couple of changes failed to help the Frenchman, and Ramos secured the win courtesy of Ronaldo's third - another header, although this time from a corner.

The former Manchester United star rose highest at the far post to head back across goal and secure the trophy for Ramos.

There was time for Grannec to claim a late consolation, again through Ronaldo for the opposite team, but it wasn't enough and Ramos is crowned the FIFA Champions Trophy winner in a first run-out for FIFA 14.
