Aaron Ramsey feels Arsenal are working with a 'quality' squad, but concedes they may be a little 'short of numbers'.

The in-form midfielder helped the Gunners progress to the UEFA Champions League group stage on Tuesday night, and has called on boss Arsene Wenger to make one or two signings now their place in Europe's top competition is secure.

Victor Moses has been left out of Chelsea’s squad for their Super Cup clash against Bayern Munich in Prague on Friday, raising further doubts over his future at Stamford Bridge.

Moses - who moved for £9m last August - has been linked with moves to Liverpool and West Ham after failing to make an appearance for Chelsea in their opening three Premier League games.

After playing in Manchester United’s draw with title rivals Chelsea on Monday, Danny Welbeck is looking forward to another "intense" Barclays Premier League clash against Liverpool this weekend.

Welbeck looks set to go head-to-head with another in-form striker in Daniel Sturridge, and the 22-year-old forward is looking forward to facing his international colleague.

Juventus have denied that they are interested in signing Manchester City left-back Aleksander Kolarov. The 27-year-old had been linked with a move to Turin, but now looks set to remain at the Etihad Stadium.

Tottenham's Gareth Bale has been included in the Wales squad for their forthcoming World Cup qualifiers with Macedonia and Serbia.

Bale is yet to play this season because of injury, while Real Madrid are continuing their pursuit of the winger, but as yet no deal has been struck with Spurs.

And finally, Lionel Messi has been passed fit to play the second leg of the Spanish Super Cup for Barcelona against Atletico Madrid.

The Argentinian hobbled off at half-time of the first leg with a hamstring injury, but Messi has now been declared fit and is part of Barcelona's 19-man squad for the all-important decider.
