Tottenham are hoping to secure the signing of Arsenal target Alvaro Vadillo for £17million, according to the Daily Mail.
Having already signed a number of players this summer, Spurs' fans could be forgiven for thinking that the team that will line-up against Arsenal this weekend is the one that will see them through until at least the next transfer window.
However boss AVB seems keen to adding as many players as possible, and is now mooting over a potential move for Real Betis starlet Alvaro Vadillo, being lauded as the 'new Ronaldo'.
The 18-year-old has been rumoured to be a target of Arsenal, but lack of official interest from the Emirates could see Tottenham steal a march on their closest rivals.
Betis are keen to hold on to their highly rated forward, but Villas-Boas could force the deal by meeting the buy-out clause embedded in his contract, thought to be around £17million.
Vadillo has represented Spain at U20 level and is being monitored by a number of Europe's top clubs, meaning a purchase from White Hart Lane could be another astute piece of business by the north London outfit.
