The biggest rivalry match in England will take place this Sunday at Anfield and both Liverpool and Manchester United seem to be up for it.
The Reds have won both of their league matches, against Stoke City and Aston Villa while Manchester United won comfortably against Swansea City and played out a stalemate with title rivals Chelsea in the Premier League so far.
When it comes to playing against United, Liverpool are always up for it. The Merseyside outfit have yet to concede a goal in the Premier League this season and look much better than the previous season.
Simon Mignolet has been superb and made some good saves, including the late penalty against Stoke. Kolo Toure has formed a strong defensive partnership with Daniel Agger. If he is able to recover for the clash against United, Liverpool will be confident to accomplish the big task of keeping Robin van Persie quiet.
If they can stop Van Persie from finding the net, then it will be all up to Sturridge and Coutinho to win the match for Liverpool.
However, I do not see Liverpool winning against United. I expect Sturridge to find the net but I don't think the Liverpool defence will be able to cope with Van Persie and Wayne Rooney.
Rooney is coming into this match after a man of the match performance against Chelsea. I expect him to be all over the pitch again. The coming back of Rooney and how the Liverpool defence performs could be key factors in determining the outcome of the match.
