Reports from The Daily Telegraph suggest that the notoriously tight French manager is ready to splurge £80million on trio Mesut Ozil, Angel Di Maria and Abel Hernandez.
In what promises to be a frantic final 24 hours in the transfer window, it will be interesting to see whether Wenger follows through with the rumours and manages to sign any of the talented three players he is after.
The move away for the two Real Madrid superstars would make sense as Gareth Bale has finally signed for the Spanish giants, in what will create a Hollywood like midfield as he partners up with Cristiano Ronaldo.
First team positions are now scarce at the Bernabéu, especially in the attacking midfield roles where Di Maria and Ozil apply their trade. And with Ozil being pushed to the bench in recent weeks, it may help Wenger's case as he attempts to lure the German maestro to the Emirates.
In a day where phones will be ringing relentlessly, and chequebooks will be seeing a lot of action. It seems like Wenger must bid for these players if Arsenal have any chance of being trophy contenders this season.
Arsenal have been trophy-less for eight years now. However, these players have the quality to break the trophy drought that Arsenal are so deeply submerged in.
The signings will also satisfy the fans, who have become restless in recent times due to the Wenger's transfer inactivity, whilst almost certainly easing the pressure to Wenger himself.
