England will host a five-match Test series against India for the first time in over 50 years in 2014 with Trent Bridge, Lord’s, Southampton, Old Trafford and The Oval hosting the Investec series.

The ECB have announced the schedule for hosting India next summer which includes a five-match One Day International series and a Natwest T20 International.

That is after hosting the first five-Test series against India since 1959. To give next summer an even greater Asian feel Sri Lanka are touring in May and June with exact dates expected to be announced within the next week.

Leicestershire and Derbyshire will provide the warm-up games for the Indians in two three-day games while Middlesex will host them in the 50-over format leading into the one-day series which starts on Monday 25th August.

The first Investec Test Match starts on Wednesday 9th July in Nottingham with a full schedule below.

David Collier who is the England and Wales Cricket Board Chief Executive is excited for the Indian summer.

“This will be the first time England has hosted India in a five Test series in more than 50 years and the length of the series reflects the iconic status which contests between these two great cricketing nations now enjoy.

“We anticipate significant demand for tickets both for the Investec Test series, and for the One-Day International series which will be the first encounter between these two countries in the 50-Over format since India’s triumph in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy competition at Edgbaston earlier this year.

“We thank the BCCI for their support and also our international venues who between them helped bring a record number of spectators – more than 850,000 - to international cricket over the course of the season when India last toured here in 2011."
