The agent of Karim Benzema has rejected claims that the striker will be leaving Real Madrid today, according to Goal.com
Arsenal have been linked with the French international all summer and with a big flurry of transfer activity expected at the Emirates Stadium today, Benzema was touted as a potential arrival.
However, Karim Djaziri has told BBC Sport: "Karim isn't joining Arsenal or anybody else, he is staying at Real Madrid."
Real Madrid are looking to ease their wage bill slightly following the reported world record transfer of Gareth Bale to the Bernabeu.
Former world player of the year Kaka became the first high profile name to leave following the capture of Bale, and the Brazilian returns to former club AC Milan.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has left it late to spend any of the large transfer kitty promised at the start of the summer, but appears to be in for a busy day.
Many Gunners' fans would like to see a big-name striker arrive to bolster the options available to lead the line, as Oliver Giroud was hit and miss last year and Lukas Podolski has been ruled out for up to ten weeks through injury.
25-year-old Benzema would fit that bill perfectly, having scored 50 La Liga goals since his £25million move from Lyon back in 2009.
But it now appears as though Benzema could be staying in Madrid to fight for his place in Carlo Ancelotti's first team.
