Mesut Ozil says Arsene Wenger was key in his decision to make a deadline day move from Real Madrid to Arsenal.

The German international completed his £42.5 million switch to the Emirates Stadium late last night, and said Wenger convinced him of the club's ambition during negotiations.

Marouane Fellaini said he was delighted to have completed his "dream" move to Manchester United.

The Belgian was another to make a last-gasp deadline day move, completing a £27.5 million transfer from Everton.

Manchester City's only deal on deadline day came early on as they secured the services of Martin Dimeichelis from Atletico Madrid.

The 32-year-old Argentine international says he is looking forward to plying his trade in the Premier League.

Tottenham were another club who had a quiet last day day in the transfer window having already completed seven signings for around £110 million.

They did however let two players leave on loan, with Tom Carroll and Benoit Assou-Ekotto heading to QPR.

And finally away from the transfer window, Barcelona defender Dani Alves says he is looking forward to playing Celtic in the Champions League again this season, so he can extract revenge for his side's defeat at Celtic Park last season.
