Manchester United target Ander Herrera is open to a January move to the Premier League champions, according to the Daily Mail.
United saw a £26m bid turned down for the Athletic Bilbao midfielder during the final week of the transfer window and followed up their interest on deadline day.
However Manchester United's officials were unable to complete a deal for the midfielder before the summer window slammed shut as they failed to match his £30.5m buyout clause.
Herrera was said to be disappointed with the proposed move collapsing at the eleventh hour but is willing to give his all at Bilbao until Moyes returns with another bid in January.
The 24-year-old, speaking to reporters, said of United's interest: "A United offer came and I can only view that as a positive reflection on what I have been doing.
"At no time, despite what anybody reported, did I undergo a medical for United nor did I sign any contract with them. As for the future, you never know what might happen."
Herrera also revealed that the three lawyers - who were said to be working on behalf of United - were not representing the Bilbao star.
"I've no idea who the three guys who turned up at the league offices are but I can say categorically that they had nothing to do with me or my representative," added Herrera.
Moyes is expected to renew his interest in Herrera at the start of next year - despite completing a deal for Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini.
