Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo is happy to wait for his first team chance and insists he has already learnt a lot since joining the club.

Sanogo arrived at the Emirates on a free-transfer after impressing for Auxerre in the second division of French football.

Until the free signing of Mathieu Flamini last week, Sanogo was the only addition Arsene Wenger had made in the summer transfer window, putting unexpected pressure on the 20-year-old to perform.

But the the youngster believes he has plenty of time to learn his trade at Arsenal and is confident Wenger will give him a chance to shine when he is ready.

Sanogo told le10sport: "I know my time will come. I am patient and I am working hard every day. I tell myself that I'm only 20, I have to keep working to gain experience."

The Frenchman has yet to deputise for Arsenal so far but has already had a chance to impress off the bench. He believes that in his short time at the club, he has already improved as a player and is delighted to be part of a great club.

"I have been with Arsenal for two months now and I am adapting well to England and starting to get my bearings," he added.

"In training, there are only great players, so you can only move forward.

"Arsenal is a great club, but even if I am only a small part of it I am a player like all the others. I have two eyes and two feet like them."
