GiveMeSport contributor Keir Little gives his views on Arsene Wenger's continued reign at Arsenal.
Arsenal fans and owners are too loyal to Arsene Wenger, and they must move on from the Frenchman or they could pay a high price.
Despite being one of the best managers in the world, Wenger has not been successful for Arsenal in the last few years and seems happy to settle for a Champions League, never risking anything for the title.
This is epitomised by Arsenal’s lack of trophy in the last eight seasons.
He is a fantastic manager, but for the last few years he has lacked creativity and transfer knowhow. This is why Arsenal should let him go, but they won’t, because they are too loyal to him.
The signing of Mesut Ozil was in my opinion a perfect example of why Wenger should be sacked.
While £42.5 million was not too much for Ozil, Arsenal simply don’t need him; they should have signed a world-class centre-back or a striker.
Over the last few seasons, Arsenal have struggled to get into the Champions League group stage, but after a disastrous transfer window, they may not even make the top four.
Arsenal have had a decent start to the season, but that could be premature, they have a thin squad and lack cover for many positions, including right back, centre back and striker.
To conclude, Arsene Wenger is still a fantastic manager, but Arsenal are looking frailer and less impressive every season, this is why Arsenal must part with Wenger, or it could be costly.
