Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria has declared his happiness at remaining with the Spanish side, amid heavy interest from Arsenal this summer.
Di Maria was rumoured to be heading for the exit door after the arrival of world record signing Gareth Bale at the club but was kept in favour of Mesut Ozil, who made the switch to the Emirates.
The Argentine has now stated his commitment to the club to Fox Sports Radio, he said: "Yes, I will be staying at Real Madrid.
"I have the confidence of the coach, I am very happy and my family also, which is the most important thing."
The 25-year-old has made 140 appearances during his three years at the club, scoring 25 goals and providing 53 assists after a €40m switch from Benfica in 2010.
Arsenal have allegedly had a long-standing interest in the winger and were willing to part with £25m of their rumoured £70m transfer budget to take the Argentina international to North London.
However this move never materialised and the Gunners moved to sign Di Maria's German teammate Ozil instead on a manic deadline day.
Di Maria will now be hoping to repay Carlo Ancelotti's faith in him by showcasing his talents for the new Real Madrid boss in the forthcoming season.
