Crystal Palace defender Florian Marange has expressed his disgust over his treatment by the Premier League newcomers, reports SkySports.
The left-back was signed on a free transfer from Bordeaux in August when his contract expired.
Marange was one of 16 summer arrivals, however, the Frenchman was left out of the official 25 man Premier League side for the 2013-14 season after making one League Cup appearance.
That loss in the League cup means that Marange cannot expect to feature until the FA Cup third round in January.
The omission adds to the Under-21 international's anger, after the club made a mistake on the official website which pictured his team-mate in Bordeaux rather than Marange himself.
Marange revealed his fury to French newspaper L'Equipe:
"I am disgusted," he said.
"If I had known this rule, I would have a clause in my contract. But my advisor did not tell me. And now I am told that it is almost my fault."
"I played in the Cup against Bristol City. We lost but I made no fault on the two goals conceded. I only did seven or eight training sessions."
"How could you judge a player in 10 days?"
"I was not presented to the press. I never had any official photo and I am still waiting for my club suit. I stayed for a fortnight in a hotel before settling in a house and the officials told it was up to me to pay the bill."
"This is a big mess."
"It is a real hassle. I have a good contract, I am earning a bit more than in Bordeaux, but living in London is 10 times more expensive. And I came to play."
Manager Ian Holloway attempted to defend himself by labelling the transfer market as "utter madness".
"Clearly, the rules have been brought in to guard against the top clubs stacking and racking players because they have the finances to do just that" he continued.
"But when I signed Dobbie and Marange, I can promise you that I did so in good faith.
"I had no idea when we did the deals for Stephen and Florian that we would be able to conduct so much business in the final few days of the window."
Crystal Palace have started life back in the Premier League with one win out of three so far.
