The highly-anticipated release of EA Sports FIFA 14 is scheduled for the 27th September, and fanatical players of the popular game have been speculating about which former players will appear in the new Ultimate Team mode.

Ultimate Team has become one of the biggest selling points for FIFA since it's introduction and gamers will have the opportunity to acquire some of the very best to have put on a pair of boots for their own teams.

The thought of mixing sides up including current stars such as Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi with legends including Pele, Dennis Bergkamp and Paolo Maldini is a mouthwatering prospect for any fan of the hit video game.

FIFA 14 Executive Producer David Rutter said: “Our fans will be able to bring stars from different eras together to create teams and combinations they have previously only dreamed about.

“For the first time ever, you will be able to play with Pele and Messi in the same lineup. It is going to create a unique experience within our most popular game mode.”
