Chris Froome and Sir Bradley Wiggins have both been included in Great Britain's longlist squad for the Road World Championships in September.
The 2012 and 2013 Tour de France winners will compete together for the first time since February's Tour of Oman.
Froome will hope to add road racing gold to his 2013 Tour de France win when he leads the men's elite road time with four-time Olympic gold medallist Wiggins due to compete in the time trial at the competition which runs from 22-29 September in Toscana, Italy.
Sprinter Mark Cavendish, along with Wiggins, has been named on the list of 11 for the men's road race, which will be reduced to eight for the competition.
The women's road race team includes Olympic silver-medallist Lizzie Armitstead and 18-year-old junior world champion Lucy Garner with Emma Pooley selected for the time trial - the event she won in 2010.
"I think the selection of the elite teams speak for themselves, we've got Olympic medallists, Tour de France winners and former world champions all in the mix and I think we could do well across the board there," said British Cycling's performance manager Shane Sutton.
The final selections for the World Championships will be announced soon.
