Inter Milan have moved to force an early rejection on Arsenal's plans to sign highly-rated youngster Patrick Olsen in January.

TalkSPORT reports that the Italian outfit have told Arsenal that they are wasting their time even bothering to enquire about Olsen's availability, and that the Danish midfielder is staying at the San Siro.

Interest in Olsen has been high since his days at Brondby, and the 19-year-old has impressed since his move to the Serie A in 2012.

Arsene Wenger is said to be plotting a move for another midfielder in January, as injury problems could threaten what has been a promising start to the new Premier League season.

Despite Inter's claims that he is absolutely not for sale, it remains to be seen whether or not the Gunners' boss will opt to try and test the Italian side's mettle with a bid.

The Danish-born youngster has been capped at U21 level for his national side and is considered amongst the best of a rising crop of gifted teenagers in Europe.
