Zimbabwe have beaten Pakistan in the second test by 24 runs at the Harare Sports club. The win was set up by Tendai Chatara who delivered for the hosts. He took 5-61 in the fourth innings of the match to give Zimbabwe a historic test win.
Misbah Ul Haq was the only batsman for Pakistan who fought against the Zimbabwe bowlers, but the rest were unable to follow his example.
It all began on the final day when both the teams hung in balance for the much needed victory; but it were the hosts who delivered.
Tendai Chatara was declared as the man of the match. He was quoted saying in the post match presentation: "Feels nice. After we didn't get a great start, I just told myself to hit the right line and lengths when I got the ball."
Younus Khan was the man of the series. He said that: "All credit goes to Zimbabwe, especially the management and the captain. A lot of things have been going wrong for them, especially off the field. Misbah is a cool customer but unfortunately he didn't have enough support. I wish I had spent more time at the crease but all credit goes to their bowlers who put their heart into the game."
The series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe finishes 1-1. This was Zimbabwe's 11th test win in their history and a third against Pakistan.
