Olympic bronze medalist Lamar Odom has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, following an arrest in August reports NBA.com.
Odom, who has featured for four different sides in the NBA since being drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers in 1999, was originally pulled over on a Southern California freeway on August 30th.
Officers from the California Highway Patrol pulled Odom's Mercedes-Benz over after it was observed travelling in what they have described as a "serpentine manner."
A sobriety test followed before the 33-year-old was taken in to custody and, if convincted, Odom could now face a $1,000 fine as well as six months in jail.
The former Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks man is currently a free agent after his second spell at the Clippers came to an end.
The charges will do the 6ft 10ins forward no favours in his bid to find a new club and will doubtless leave his reality TV star wife, Khloe Kardashian, less than impressed.
A member of the USA men's basketball squad at the 2004 Olympics, Odom is a two-time NBA champion having been part of the victorious Lakers teams of 2009 and 2010.
