Music superstars accompany Mayweather into ring

Your entrance into the ring can make or break you as a boxer as it's a time where you have to focus on what's at hand.

Boxers usually select their favourite tune to psych themselves up for the battle ahead.

However Floyd Mayweather went one better on Saturday as he got pop star Justin Bieber and rapper Lil Wayne to accompany him into the ring.

Lil Wayne rapped to his 2008 hit 'A Milli' during Mayweather's entrance on Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, while Justin Bieber escorted the undefeated 36-year-old into the ring.

Mayweather was awarded the win against Mexican fighter Saul Alvarez by a majority decision.

The win saw him extend his run to 45 fights unbeaten and saw him pocket a 'basic' fee of £26.1million for the victory.

I would say Bieber and Lil Wayne were his lucky charms - but it seems like the American boxer does not need any such aides.
