Football News

Sadly, the dribble appears to have become somewhat of a dying art in football - particularly in the Premier League.

But these 10 players prove that Premier League players do possess the ability to dribble past an opponent.

In order to have some variety, I've only selected one player per club. Have your say in the comments section if you believe someone else should have been selected.

10. Gaston Ramirez | Southampton

Gaston Ramirez would probably be higher in this list if he played a little more regularly for Southampton.

The Uruguay international has the ability to effortlessly glide past defenders with his quick feet and pace.

9. Nani | Manchester United

It's possible that Wilfried Zaha or Adnan Januzaj will soon become the best dribbler at Manchester United, but for now the more experienced Nani still holds that title.

The Portuguese winger has plenty of skills in his locker, as many Premier League full-backs have discovered over the past six years.

8. Kevin Mirallas | Everton

Kevin Mirallas showcased his impressive dribbling ability with a couple of superb goals last season.

The 25-year-old enjoyed a fine debut Premier League campaign with Everton last term. Expect him to keep better and better.

7. Erik Lamela | Tottenham

Tottenham fans are in store for a treat after their club broke their transfer record on Argentina winger Erik Lamela.

The 21-year-old is more than capable of taking on and beating several opponents, as he proved during his two years at AS Roma.

6. Santi Cazorla | Arsenal

In tight spaces, few players in world football are better than the exquisite Santi Cazorla.

The Arsenal star is equally brilliant on either foot and can leave any defender bamboozled with his remarkable skill.

5. Sergio Aguero | Manchester City

When Sergio Aguero carries the ball towards goal, he's pretty difficult to stop.

The Argentina international boasts surprising strength to compliment his eye-catching dribbling ability.

4. Eden Hazard | Chelsea

Eden Hazard has the potential to become the Premier League's best player - and it might not take him that long to achieve it.

The Belgian star, on his day, is capable of making any defender look foolish.

3. Adel Taraabt | Fulham

It's a shame that Adel Taraabt's defensive play leaves a lot to be desired, because with his extraordinary dribbling ability, he could have been one of the world's best players.

The Moroccan has exceptional talent in those feet of his, as we saw on occasions last season when he was playing for the eventually relegated Queens Park Rangers.

2. Hatem Ben Arfa | Newcastle United

Hatem Ben Arfa still has ambitions to become a Ballon d'Or winner. If the award recognised the best dribblers in the world, he'd be in with a shout.

The Frenchman has scored some incredible goals in his career thanks to his sublime ability to ghost past opponents with that magic wand of a left foot.

1. Luis Suarez | Liverpool

Luis Suarez may be the Premier League's most disliked figure, but he's almost certainly the best dribbler, too.

Few players attempt more dribbles per game than the Uruguay star, who can drift between the tightest Premier League defences and still emerge with the ball.
