Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has revealed midfield duo Frank Lampard and Oscar are set to start Wednesday night's Champions League encounter against FC Basel.

The Blues boss, speaking at his pre-match press conference, stated that the rest of his players will know if they are starting on Tuesday evening.

“Sometimes the players know [the line-up] but this time they don’t know," said Mourinho.

“I spoke with a couple of players individually about the game tomorrow, so they know they are going to start.

“Lampard and Oscar know they will start. All the others I didn’t speak with.”

Mourinho has a full squad to choose from as he confirmed he has no injury doubts ahead of the Blues' Champions League opener against Swiss side FC Basel.

The Portuguese tactician, who won the Champions League at Porto in 20004 and Inter Milan in 2010, has warned his players not to underestimate Basel.

“I want us to start this new phase by winning,” he added.

“Maybe lots of people think Basel is a team that are not so difficult.

“I just remember two years ago – Man United out and Basel through – and last year – Tottenham out and Basel through – so it’s a difficult team."

Mourinho concluded his press conference by saying that it's 'important' that his side play in the Champions League rather than the Europa League - a competition the west London side won last season.
