Chelsea loanee Romelu Lukaku has tipped striker Samuel Eto’o to have a big season for the club this season.

The Belgian international is on loan at Everton from the Blues this term, and watched his new side beat his parent club at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Not able to play because of a clause of his contact, Lukaku had an opportunity to watch the Cameroonian international in close quarters on Merseyside, and whilst his missed a decent opportunity to open the scoring against the Toffees, he's sure the new signing will have a big part to play for Jose Mourinho's side this season.

"You can see that Chelsea is a team with a lot of qualities and Samuel Eto'o was unlucky, but I think he will be very important over the course of the season," Lukaku told the official Blues website.

"Everton was also very good, they also played as a team and they had their one chance and they scored and that is it with football, sometimes you have only one chance and you can win a game."

Lukaku has been loaned out by the Blues once again this season, after impressing last term under Steve Clarke at West Bromwich Albion.

The 20-year-old will now look to follow that up after being snapped-up by Roberto Martinez, and make his claim to be a regular in the Chelsea first team alongside the likes of Eto'o next term.
