Mourinho calls for more goals

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has called on his players to score more goals after seeing his side lose to Everton and Basel in past week.

The Portuguese tactician's side also failed to score against Premier League champions Manchester United at Old Trafford at the end of August.

Mourinho has an array of attacking talent at his disposal having added former Anzhi Makhachkala pair Samuel Eto'o and Willian to his squad.

However neither have managed to make a real impact to Chelsea's squad, as seen in the west London side's recent match against Basel on Wednesday.

Speaking to Chelsea TV, Mourinho said of their defeat to the Swiss champions: "We need to score goals.

"When you don't score goals you are in trouble."

Mourinho's striking trio of Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and Eto'o have one goal between them - and that came in Chelsea's Super Cup defeat to Bayern Munich.

The Chelsea boss may now be ruing the departure of Belgium starlet Romelu Lukaku, who was allowed to move to Everton on deadline day.

Chelsea face another tough home tie this weekend as Mourinho's side face west London rivals Fulham at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.
