Tottenham are looking to bolster their attacking options by making a move for FC Basel forward Mohamed Salah in January, according to Sky Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio.
Though the North London outfit spent £108million across the summer transfer window, Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas is said to be keen to add to his striking options with Emmanuel Adebayor likely to be departing the club in due course.
In addition to this, forward Jermain Defoe has also been linked with a move away from Spurs, despite being a firm fans' favourite at White Hart Lane.
However, with the English international ageing, Spurs may opt to purchase 22-year-old Salah from the Swiss outfit.
The Egyptian forward would provide AVB with some much-needed utility as he is able to play on the flank or through the middle..
He may be the player Spurs need to partner alongside Roberto Soldado, in a push for more goals at Spurs.
