Benfica manager Jorge Jesus took the law into his own hands on Sunday as he attempted to stop police restraining fans of the Portuguese giants.

Jesus had just witnessed his side triumph 1-0 away to Guimaraes to keep themselves within touching distance of leaders Porto, and victory prompted some supporters to run onto the pitch in an attempt to celebrate with the players.

As expected, however, police and stewards soon intervened to remove the fans from the field of play, but the apparent heavy handedness incensed Jesus, who intervened in support of the Benfica faithful.

Jesus grappled with police as they attempted to pin down one Benfica fan in particular, with the club;s manager far from impressed with the way the enforces chose to lay down the law.
