Right the wrongs of Southampton showing

Football News

Make no mistake about it, Saturday's humbling by Mauricio Pochettino's Southampton was unacceptable.

Credit to the Saints who showed no fear and a desire to attack the league leaders on their own turf, but Rodgers' side were the architects of their own downfall.

The Anfield boss must take some of the blame for the Saturday's defeat - fielding four centre-backs raised a few eyebrows, particularly with better options available on the bench.

Rodgers won't want to slip up twice on the trot, and his willingness to get back to winning ways may result in Liverpool fielding a stronger line-up than previously anticipated.
