Arsenal's club-record capture of Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid might well prove to be the best piece of business conducted during the summer transfer window.

The German playmaker's £42.4million arrival in north London looks like going some way to making Arsene Wenger's side genuine Premier League title contenders this season, with the Gunners sat proudly at the top of the table' level on points with rivals Tottenham after six games.

Ozil has wasted little time in making his presence felt at the Emirates Stadium, having played a key role in each of Arsenal's last three games - both domestically and in Europe - helping the club secure vital victories over Sunderland, Marseille and Stoke City.

The 24-year-old is a seasoned professional when it comes to the Champions League, but there were some question marks over how he would acclimatise to the hustle and bustle of the English top-flight.

He's answered any doubters in emphatic style with a series of influential displays, and has already laid on three goals this season, which puts him at the top of the Premier League assists chart in 2013/14.

Ozil's all-round artistry in the middle of the Arsenal midfield also makes him one of the most creative players in the division, based on the average number of minutes it takes him to fashion a chance for one of his teammates, with only one player boasting a better record.

Click through the tabs - above or below - to check out the ten most creative players in the Premier League so far this season (with a minimum of five chances fabricated) based on the average amount of time it takes them to generate a clear goalscoring opportunity.
