Tottenham midfielder Sandro is determined to claim a win over London rivals Chelsea when the two sides face each other on Saturday.

Spurs registered a convincing 4-0 win over Aston Villa in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday with a Jermain Defoe brace and goals from Paulinho and Nacer Chadli sending the north London side through to the last 16.

The Brazilian Sandro - who made his third start of the season against Villa - wants a repeat performance this weekend when the Blues visit White Hart Lane

He is looking for his side to right the wrongs of last season having lost 4-2 in the corresponding fixture last term.

“Chelsea is a great game and everyone is looking forward to it,” said Sandro.

“Last season we lost at home and this season we're determined to win.

"We have to play like we played at Villa. Let’s try and take this big win.”

Sandro also praised the quality of his compatriot and new Spurs signing Paulinho whom he played alongside for the first time in the League Cup tie.

“It was my first time to play with Paulinho and he’s amazing,” he added.

“He’s on fire at the moment! I’m so glad for him and everyone enjoyed this moment.”

Tottenham currently sit second in the Premier League having won four and lost one - to Arsenal - in the opening stages of the season.

Chelsea got back to winning ways last weekend with a win against Fulham and will be hoping for further improvement on Saturday.
