San Francisco 49ers breezed past the St Louis Rams on Thursday night courtesy of a superb all-round performance, with Colin Kaepernick throwing two touchdown passes and Frank Gore running 100-yards.
But perhaps the most impressive moment of the encounter - which ended 35-11 - was a stunning interception from 49ers safety Donte Whitner just under four minutes before half-time.
Sam Bradford attempted a deep pass to Brian Quick from the 34-yard line, only to see possession overturned when Whitner snagged a loose ball in acrobatic fashion.
With Quick tussling alongside Tramaine Brock as the ball sailed towards the goal-line, the latter was able to push Braford's pass away from the clutches of the wide receiver and into the path of Whitner.
Whitner then dived forward to take the catch in the 49ers end-zone, somehow managing to stay in touch after he hit the ground.
